ICGB provides approval of ship-board Cargo Securing Manuals based on IMO guidelines, and approval of road vehicle cargo container safety.
ABOUT
International Cargo Gear Bureau, Inc. (ICGB), is a not-for-profit membership organization that provides registration, inspection, certification, design evaluation, and consultation services for shipboard, offshore, and land-based materials handling equipment.

First established in 1954, ICGB has provided services for owners and operators of shipboard and shoreside cargo handling gear at ports in the New York metropolitan area and globally. Today we are one of two U.S. Coast Guard and Department of Labor approved cargo gear surveying companies. We are recognized by OSHA, ILO, IMO, and classification societies like Bureau Veritas to examine and load test material handling gear as well as to certify cargo securing manuals.
We operate worldwide through directly enrolled appointees, trained and experienced in inspecting any and all cargo handling gear.
